Welcome Reception

The GEC will host a Welcome Reception on Monday, November 5 at the Doubletree Hotel in the Lloyd Center Ballroom from 7:00PM - 9:00PM. Early registration fee (if registered by September 21) includes the welcome reception. Late registration fee (if registered after September 21) will only include the welcome reception as remaining space permits. Additional reception tickets for companions or DPP associates can be purchased by a GEC registrant for $75 during early registration period or for $95 during late registration period as space permits. Please also see the Registration Page. This will be a great opportunity to network with colleagues. You will want to be there!
GEC Banquet Reception and Banquet
Thursday 6:30PM - 10:30PM, November 8, 2018
Portland Art Museum Room: Fields Ballroom, Kridel Grand Ballroom
(in the Mark Building at 1219 SW Park Avenue Portland)
On Thursday evening, November 8th, the banquet reception will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Portland Art Museum, in the Mark Building at 1219 SW Park Avenue Portland. This will be followed by the conference banquet starting at 7:30 p.m. Attendance requires purchase of a ticket ($50), which is not included with GEC registration. Additional Banquet tickets for companions or DPP associates can be purchased by a GEC registrant for $75 during early registration period or for $95 during late registration period as space permits. Non-GEC registrants who wish to attend the GEC banquet may also send an email Don Wise at wise@aps.org for assistance with purchasing a ticket. This will be an evening of elegance. The schedule for the evening is:
• 6:30 PM Doors open to the Fred and Suzanne Fields Ballroom
• 6:30 PM to 7:30pm Cocktail Hour
• 7:15pm Bar opens in the Kridel Grand Ballroom
• 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM – Dinner and GEC recognitions in the Kridel Grand Ballroom
• 10:30 PM Event End
Getting to the Portland Art Museum is easy but attendees will be responsible for their own travel to the Museum. Detailed instructions for getting to the Portland Art Museum is provided HERE. The GEC Awards for Best Student Oral and Poster Presentations will be presented during the banquet.
