GEC registration includes full right to freely attend APS Division of Plasma Physics (DPP) technical sessions.  DPP registrants will also have full right to freely attend GEC technical sessions

Paper Registration:  Download and print the form, enter your registration information, and pay your fee online with your credit card.  This form must be received at APS by Friday, October 26, 2018.

On-line Registration: You can register online and pay your fee online with your credit card.   See instructions below.  Registrations received after Friday, November 2, 2018 will not be processed on-line, but can be processed on-site.

On-site Registration: You can obtain a paper registration form at the GEC2018 Welcome/Registration station.    To register you must enter your registration information on the paper form, and pay your fee with your credit card.

Here are the instructions for registration.

Visit the APS online registration page.

You will choose between logging in as an APS member, becoming a member of APS and registering at the same time, and registering as a non-member of APS. 

Welcome Reception: The GEC will host a Welcome Reception on Monday, November 5 at the Doubletree Hotel in the Lloyd Center Ballroom. Early registration fee (if registered by September 21) includes the welcome reception.  Late registration fee (if registered after September 21) will only include the welcome reception as remaining space permits.  Additional reception tickets for companions or DPP associates can be purchased by a GEC registrant for $75 during early registration period or for $95 during late registration period as space permits.

Banquet:  The GEC annual banquet will be held at the Portland Art Museum on Thursday November 8.  Attendance requires purchase of a ticket, which is not included with GEC registration.  Additional Banquet tickets for companions or DPP associates can be purchased by a GEC registrant for $75 during early registration period or for $95 during late registration period as space permits.  If you have special dietary restrictions, please note them in the Special Needs Requests box on the registration page.

Workshops:  All workshop participants must be registered for either the DPP or GEC meeting.  Please note that a Monday “one day” meeting registration is available ($150 for early registration / $200 for late registration).  For planning purposes, we ask that all workshop participants please register in advance.   DPP registrants are welcome at GEC workshops, but please register in advance.

Coffee Breaks: This year the GEC will follow the DPP and only offer coffee during breaks.  Additional snacks will be available at various café’s within the Portland Convention Center for a fee.

Cancellation and Refund: A request for cancellation of your Registration Fee must be emailed to Don Wise (wise@aps.org) by noon on Friday, November 2, 2018 (Eastern Time). No registration refund request will be granted for requests made after November 3, noon. All refunds will be assessed a $50 cancellation fee regardless of the reason for cancellation.
