Based on the New Border Measures, from June 1, 2022, requirements regarding on-arrival testing, potential self-quarantine periods and the place of accommodation after entry into Japan are expected to depend on the country/region of stay before arrival in Japan (“Red”, “Yellow” and “Blue” categories: https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/covid-19/border_category.html). Most GEC attendees are expected to belong to the blue group. For this group, regardless of the vaccination status of the entrants/returnees, on-arrival testing, home quarantine and other measures are not required.
